What types of 3D files can you import to Blender? When you find any furniture model online that would be a perfect fit for an architectural interior developed in Blender, you should check to see if it uses a compatible file format. Unless it has a format like MAX, which is incredibly difficult to convert it is most likely possible to import the furniture model to Blender.
Some artists will offer multiple options for download when they share a furniture model, like Iskren Marinov did with his CoolinSky Pouf. The file is available from the artist Behance profile and you can get it in formats such as:
- MAX
- FBX
- OBJ
Here is the original render of the furniture model from the artist.
And the furniture model already in Blender 2.8.
Do you want to import the model to Blender? Using either the OBJ or FBX files will give you a smooth import process for that furniture model. It is a great piece of furniture for interior spaces, especially if you are working with residential projects.
