Blender 4.2: Precise Modeling Workshop
Learning Resources →

The growing interest for Blender in fields like architecture and design is something that is hard to turn around. More people will become interested in using Blender to visualize their designs every day, and Blender 2.8 will raise that even more.

We often get messages from designers and architects based in the United States that have a hard time figuring out how to use Blender with Imperial Units. Most of the tutorials and training materials related to Blender either use the metric system or Blender Units.

Very few of them teaches how actually to work with foot, feet, and inches. And when they get to use those units, eventually they got them with decimals and not fractions.

To help those users to get lengths in Blender with the correct measurements, we have a new training material. A brand new book called 3D modeling in Blender using feet and inches: Quick Guide.

The primary objective of the book is to describe how to setup and use imperial units in Blender. For instance, I will show you how to set dimensions using something like 3’3/4”.

You can get the book in either PDF or ePub. If you prefer, it is also available in the Kindle Store at Amazon.

We shared the news yesterday on our newsletter, and the response was overwhelming. If you are among the people that already got the book, don’t forget to leave a review.
