Blender 4.2: Precise Modeling Workshop
Learning Resources →

The first thing that comes to mind when we have a project to model is to create everything using polygons, which in some cases can be a bad move. You will end up with a lot of geometry in your model that could be shown using nothing more than textures. That is an extremely good reason to learn how to use normal maps and other types of textures. But, what can we do without a good normal map editor/generator? A Blender artist called B.Y.O.B just shared his latest creation and it is a normalmap generator!

This project is open source and you can check the code on github here, or just download the binaries to use in your projects. Now you don't have any excuses to not use normal maps in your projects!
