Learning Resources →

What would be a good amount of samples to get realism on a scene using Blender Cycles? This is a question that many artists face at the beginning of each project. For some scenes a low number may seem enough, but if you get lucky the number can get sky high! Do you think 400 samples are enough to get realism? No? Well, just take a look in what an artist called Mason Blender was able to achieve using 400 samples with a 10 hours render of his scene called Lounge Room.

This is a great example of interior visualization using Blender and has a great balance of light, materials and composition. At the link you find more images from this project.
