After the release of Blender 2.8, you will have to make an important choice at the early stages of a project, which is the renderer you will use process all your scenes. Before version 2.8, you would use Cycles for all your projects, but now you also have Eevee as a compelling option.

Eevee is a capable renderer, but it has to give away some of the realism in the scene to deliver real-time renders. The best way to choose between them is to go for speed or maximum realism. If you want maximum realism and accuracy, you should go with Cycles.

That was the choice of digital artist George Turmanidze for the interior visualization of a Luxury Hotel. He decided to use Cycles with Blender 2.8 and got some impressive results.

You will see a beautiful set of renders from the hotel interiors featuring several views from the interior.

Unfortunately, no information about hardware or settings is available from the project description. Regardless of the availability of such information, it is out of a doubt a great example of what you can do with Cycles using Blender 2.8.

Can Eevee do the same? We have other examples of renders using Eevee, but they will not have the same visual quality ad accuracy of projects using Cycles.

Using Blender for architecture

Do you want to use Blender for architecture or render your projects using Cycles or Eevee? We have three books available that could help you!

They cover the use of Blender for producing architectural content and also all information you need to render projects in real-time:

You can get them in both digital and paperback formats. By ordering those books, you will not only improve your skills with Blender for architecture but also support Blender 3D Architect.
