By the end of 2020, we saw a great initiative from artists and professionals using Blender for architecture, which were looking to improve the way Blender generates construction drawings. That is one of the most complex parts of any attempt to produce an entire design with the software. You can create many aspects of the process in Blender, but when it is time to make the technical drawings, we need some tricks and workarounds to make it work.
The initiative consists of a code bounty for anyone to embrace and solve the problem, which provides the winner all the funds from the bounty. At the moment, the reward of around 2,700.00 USD.
With recent developments in BlenderBIM and synergy with FreeCAD for architectural development, many people are trying to get the Blender Foundation to jump into the project. Having the possibility of making technical drawings from Blender would be a game-changer in many ways! You would not need any other tool to develop the entire design in architecture!
