Blender 4.2: Precise Modeling Workshop

The use of Add-ons is a powerful way of expanding the tools and capabilities of Blender, and there is a vast list of options to help you in many different tasks. However, depending on the type of changes you need to make in Blender, an Add-on might not be enough. In some cases, you need a custom Blender build to include all required changes for a tool.

One of those custom builds for Blender is the PyClone, which includes the incredible Home Builder. What can you do with that build? With PyClone, you have an exclusive set of tools to add and create quick designs related to furniture. The options available in PyClone are particularly useful in kitchen cabinet design.

A couple of days ago, the developer of PyClone (Andrew Peel) published an update to PyClone and made it compatible with Blender 2.92.

You can download the build from this link. You can download the build for free. At the moment, he is only offering a Windows version of PyClone.

If you don’t remember Andrew Peel, he was part of the team responsible for an old Add-on for Blender 2.7x called Fluid Designer. We even interviewed him about his work on this project a few years ago.

For those looking to create parametric controls for furniture and objects in Blender from scratch, we have a book that explains the entire process.
