Blender 4.2: Precise Modeling Workshop
Learning Resources →

When a client asks us to place a particular furniture model at any project, you have first to check to see of the manufacturer offers some 3d model of that object. Even without a native file made for Blender, you will have a good starting point to create an optimized model for Cycles. With the 3d model in place, you can quick use retopology tools in Blender and work on your model. And sometimes you will find that model shared by other artists in BlendSwap.

Here is an example of a bed model shared by an artist called MZiemys, which consists of a Flexform lifesteel bed. The artist took the model of the Italian furniture manufacturer and converted it to Blender, making all materials ready for Cycles. Don't miss this free furniture download, because it is an high-quality model that has a creative commons zero licenses.

If you visit Flexform website, you will also be able to download several other furniture models. Unfortunately, no model is optimized for Cycles there.
